We had another great year as "Super Heroes". Costumes were amazing and creative - "Green Lantern", "Hulk", "Mighty Mouse", and "UnderDog"
to name a few. The competition was spirited and close this year with James Tay earning "Grand Tally Whacker" with 20 points. Second went to
Art Tay at 18 points. Mac McKern and "rookie" Matt McClernan tied for 3rd with 17 points. The
Grand Putter Whacker went to Art Tay (recognize that name, GTW 2010) with Jacob Evert and Matt
McClernan (again) at second and third. All three had the same score of 29 putts and places were
awarded by hole elimination.
The Saturday Scramble was won by John Lindseth, Mac McKern, Ista Nishio (a three-some) with a
score of 67. Three teams tied at 69 and places were awarded by hole elimination. The Sunday
Scramble was won by Mike Temple, Mac McKern, Ista Nishio, and Jamie Straight with a score of 68.
Again, three teams tied at 69 and places were awarded by hole elimination.
The Horse Race, as usual, had its ups and downs. The eventual winners were Terry Campbell and
Bob Martin, with Matt McClernan and Mike Schuler coming in second. Jacob Evert and Shane
Vassar (a fourteen-year-old Sunland volunteer phenom) came in third. There was a cocktail party in
progress at a home on the 18th fairway and some of the revelers joined our gallery to watch the
completion of the Horse Race. What a hoot!
The Horse Race KP and Sword were won by Mac McKern.

Centerline Drive Saturday: Mike Temple, Centerline Drive Sunday: Gary Alexander.
A huge thank you to Sunland and Tyler Sweet, General Manager, for having us out to share the
course. We were treated like the "Super Heroes" we are! Did you all see Tyler's son as "Batman" to
join us during the Opening Ceremony? How neat is that?
